Wanted to give props to the staff at La Mesa Vision, especially Susanna, for handling a rush job for new lenses and glasses frame for my daughter. She is a patient from Dec 2023 and was here in Feb 2025 for a short visit from Spain, where she now resides.

Susanna took the initiative to order the frames ahead of my daughter’s stay so they would be ready for her to approve the order of new lenses and also sunglass lenses. The Susanna placed a rush order with a local lab so the new lenses would be ready by the time my daughter left San Diego on the next leg of her trip.

Susanna kept us up to date on the progress of the order. The lenses could have been shipped to her in Spain, but Susanna understood what a delay that would cause because Spanish customs often keeps items for several weeks before releasing them for delivery.​​​​​​​

After going to other vision care establishments and not being happy with the care and treatment, I came to La Mesa Vision care and I am very impressed with the level of professionalism and kindness that each staff member demonstrates. They all made me feel so welcome and comfortable. No one was rushing me through my visit. Dr. Turrill was so patient with me and listened to my concerns about my eyes then took steps to address everything, even requesting a follow up to be sure that I was happy with my contacts. It was our first appointment with La Mesa Vision. I saw their information when I was looking for a provider for my daughter. The last provider we went to doesn't accept her insurance. I called La Mesa Vision and was lucky enough that they have available slots. Staffs were nice and friendly. Big and clean office or center. Dr. Hixson was nice and took his time during my daughter's eye exam. My daughter enjoyed the visit because there's an exam like she's playing a game. It was a good experience.
